Feeling lost after a chaotic day, I created this digital art on my iPad to cheer up myself with something bright and creative.
Behind the woman, we see a globe like structure representing the world around her. The background is splashed with the rays of light penetrating the entire scene. We can see how the structure behind her blocks the rays of light from her reach, which could be representing how this world is preventing her from the enlightenment of these rays. I was especially inspired by a Moroccan handcrafted lamp which can scatter the light in a very captivating way, and incorporated it in the art.
The spectator cannot fail to see how the girl's face is covered with worry and sorrow, and how a similar pattern is scattered throughout her aura. Random geometrical shapes, the cubes beside her lap, and a butterfly at her foot - all of these make the spectator realize how her sight is hindered by the boulder of distractions in her life prevented her to see beautiful things around her even if it is right there at her feet. The hat of clouds deciphers not only the massive load of dark clouds but how she made it part of her identity.
Nonetheless, life goes on, beautiful things of nature unexpectedly appear, even when you stumble upon the earth with your fears, desires, dreams, and devotion to present yourself in a likable display. Indeed, we are Lost in the Universe.
