City Angle

The world is more complicated and, at the same time, more masterfully correlated than we usually notice. We see what we think is real and do not pay attention to the relations and complexity of the details of the scene. I like to challenge the usual perception of our surroundings. I wish to add meanings to details, enlarge elements, and give them a different focus. I want to show that particles of a whole have meanings, and finding and seeing new perspectives is interesting.

I like to exaggerate otherwise unnoticed elements of a scene and recompose and reevaluate their typical affiliation. I see patterns, lines, and textures in shapes. Perspective, in my vision, doesn't necessarily describe distance; instead, it challenges reality and becomes a compositional element. I see all components in my surroundings as part of a compositional grid regardless of their given location. I try to find similar characteristics in human-made and natural formations and bring them into the composition as rhythms of the image. 

Walking on the street, I absorb my surroundings as patterns of shapes, lines, lights, and textures. I look for new relevancy of the aspects; try to see details in a whole new dimension. I love the energy of the city scenery.
