Dried Common Milkweed bWeeds always succeed, this is the bottom line. Period! All the weeds that are invasive have some common features. They have an ability to develop overnight, they are capable of weathering wide variety of conditions, even below asphalt. They have the ability of producing thousands of microscopic seeds and are prolific; they can spread both under and above ground and will start multiplying if you try to pluck them out, they can live through both hot and cold weather and come to life before any other plant when Spring starts.

Weeds are the reason why the farmers are always on the move, proactive and vigilant.

I am confused! Should I be jealous of weeds, get inspiration from them or simply hate them? Because to tell you the truth, I actually find them quite exquisite in a variety of aspects.

When I found nothing worth photographing while I was moving around with my camera in search of interesting subjects last week, I discovered that weeds were quite beautiful. Along my walk I was lucky enough to meet some nature lovers and enthusiasts who told me a lot about the weeds that grew locally. I learned that Milkweeds is in fact important for the Monarch Butterfly. You understand that we accept their purpose of life so we let them live because Milkweed butterflies are beautiful and we want them around us.

Well, you might think I am being philosophical, but the point that I am trying to make here is that everything is fairly controversial and we should learn to accept that fact. So again I ask why weeds succeed.  Should I be more like them? Can I be like them? The lesson here is probably simple. Strengthen your roots, and grow as strong as you can. Just be yourself and then only you will be able to find your actual place in the world. Whether you are a butterfly or a weed, accept who you are, embrace your reality. That is what I call success!

The B&W photography album contains some precious moments that I captured during my photo hunts. I hope that you will enjoy them too. This album is all about capturing the beauty and simplicity in even the most insignificant of objects.  I saw it, I hope you will see it too!
