Budapest Flood bRecently I painted some small oil paintings while visiting Budapest. The city looked amazing at dusk! From Gellert Hill the reflecting lights on the Danube, or from Fisherman's Bastion the reflections of the illuminated Parliament captured my attention. After rain the street reflected the lights of moving vehicles offering a colorful, abstract-like scene for painting. Having fun with these small images after I returned back home I wanted to add some Chicago scene paintings to the collection. Now you can find 6 of these small cityscape paintings on my website. Next will be San Francisco. Come back to visit or check out my Facebbook page.

The images are 8"x12 on board.  I used a very small palette knife and Windsor & Newton Artisan water mixable oil colors. The following colors are all I used: Cadmium Yellow Light, Magenta, Cadmium Red Hue, Cerulean Blue Hue, French Ultramarine, Payne"s Gray and Titanium White.

Update:
Based on the excitement of that first three paintings a whole new series was born. Check out all on the landscape oil painting gallery page #4. You can find posts on Facebook too.

You really make it seem really easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I’d by no means understand. It seems too complicated and very vast for me. I am taking a look ahead for your subsequent post, I will try to get the cling of it!
